Goin to the Chapel....

My nephew Joel is getting married next month. I used to change his diapers. Nuff Said. Anyway, I'm going to a shower today for his sweet future bride Heather, and the gift is ready, but I realized this morning I didn't have a card! So......
This is the cover (and their initials)....
.....and this is the inside.............

Not bad for OLD Aunt Michele..................have a blessed day!

Happy Valentines Day, here's your raccoon trap.

My husband called me the other day with big news.
"I know what to get the boys for valentines day!"
(I didn't realize we got them valentines presents, because
I thought it was sort of all about ME on valentines, but this year....is different.)
"Okay," I said, "What can we get them?"
"Raccoon Traps."
I mean seriously? Raccoon traps. Why? I ask, why?
"So they can catch raccoons." He responded.
(I think I heard the word "duh!" in his voice somewhere).
Okay, so we will get our 3 boys raccoon traps for valentines day and
I'm sure that they will be thrilled beyond belief. (I do mean that seriously.)
It reminds me of a phrase my sweet Nona used to say in her thick Italian accent when nothing made sense to her..."but watcha can you do? but watcha can you do?"
Amen, Nona....Amen.

Project 365

I mentioned a few posts earlier about a project I started this year. You take a picture a day and journal just a few lines to go with the picture. It basically gives you a glimpse at your life for a year and helps you keep track of things you may not normally scrapbook about. So far, I've done pretty good and the boys actually are the ones helping me stay on top of it. Here's a few pix.

Here's an example of one day of the journaling I did in January:

Monday:

Long Story Short:

1. Hunt plays basketball in driveway

2. Puts his phone on the back of the Honda

3. Mama drives the Honda to town.

4. Hunt calls mama looking for the phone.

5. Mama gets mad.

6. Daddy drives around all night looking for phone.

7. Twins see phone next morning on the side of the road on way to school.

8. Phone is alive.

9. Hunt is alive.

This is probably the longest journaling I've done on any one day. Some days it's about the weather, some days it's about what we had for dinner. Just every day stuff!
